Please note that paintings are either framed or backed with a cardboard mount.
The paintings demonstrate two contrasting styles of Chinese Painting, the "freestyle" which is lively and impressionistic. This is painted on an absorbant paper where the painter's brush is often loaded with several colours at the same time. The "gongbi" or "meticulous" is much more detailed and is completed by building up several layers on a sized paper.
All sizes are approximate.
